bartaring is a great idea    By simple on 3/1/2009 9:06 PM
batering is a great idea but there is a down side to it. when people are batering it take money away from small bussiness who depend on the little money that people who cannot afford not to spend. its great you can fix your neibor's car but think of the mom and pop shop that are despirate for that 50 to 100 in labor fees. i still like batering but if you can afford it dont hesite to support small bussiness.

They talk about all this money they are giving to all these companys and how it should help the tax payer. If they really want to help instead of putting 170billion into aig hands they should just give a million dollors in each american hand that will jump start the problem at hand.

am surprise about how much people are complaining and outraged by the aig bonus which is atcualty 53 mill more than most thought. Now am not saying that its ok but it will be wrong to have a tunnel vision about the situation. if they were never bailed out then no one wil pay any attention. Now its grab your pitch for and tke dowm aig. if the company were going under am pretty sure that the biog executives would have figure out a way to get their money. i think that the fix is that is it ethical or not for a company to pay its employee that kind of money

i love obama    By simple on 3/22/2009 10:46 PM
i just watche the president on 60 minutes and he was responding to the coments made by dick chaney on cnn last week. and he respomded gracefully. When he started campaining he got alot of critisism from the like of hanaty to limberg and beortz and other conservatives. but wheater you voted for obama or not you have to admit that this guy is dooing the best he know how to improve our economic status. many complain about how he has went carzy with spending but know one actually pay any attention to the efects that the stimulus package has on americans. i watch meet the press today and the governor of cali new york and somebody else both repulican and democrates working together for a common goal. i think that washington needs to learn from this guys that its not about vote as it is about goal. set a goal that can improve people's lives and i can guarantee you all the votes fro relection. That is why i belive obama will win again in 2012 and possibly have another democrat in office in 2016.

i just heard the podcast on slowing down. while that is great i have to disagree that we are moving way too fast. i don't think our parents tell us to slow down because we are moving too fast i think it because we may miss out on the good things in life. we live in an instant world and we must keep up with the jonses and the kardasians. i dont think we are on overdrive i just think that we forget to stop and smell the roses.

I'm frustrated with our government's lack of insight and false promises. It's really nice to see the American people ban together to rally at the White House for their issues. BUT, do they (politicians at every level including the President) listen; do they even care about Main Street citizens??? It seems like the nightly news has something to report about another one of elected officials involved in scandal of one sort or another. And we put our faith and confidence in them.......UGH!!!!!

Re: Guest Blog is Open    By Grammy on 5/2/2010 8:33 AM
I'm mad now!! I woke up this morning to more bad news and it breaks my heart...that oil spill is going to have such an impact on so many and so much of our economy. I wonder if the average citizen actually understands that! What actually caused this disaster is questionable; natural earthquakes around the world or worse, maybe terrorism. Let's think for a minute, BP claims they had safety measures in place, but all of them failed. That's rather strange don't you think. And Obama is just now deciding to take a look...give me a break. Louisiana seems to have taken a hit once again, and now it's growing into an even wider spread concern for all the southeast coasts. Pretty much puts a damper on the economy's comeback!!! Our great country is paying such a big price for some poor leadership decisions throughout the years.

But that's not all that's angering me right now. I'm fed up with all these rallys going on protesting Arizona's rights to control & manage their illegal immigrants. If only the rest of the country would take a stand too. What's the issue here? If your choice was to come to our country for a better life and opportunity then that's great, so why the outrage over following the legal process for citizenship. I just don't understand this. The citizenship process should be just as important to you; afterall, citizenship is what provides you the opportunity to vote and take part in our country's growth. Let's not forget why you came here in the first place. This issue on racial profiling makes me gag. I suppose all of us could rant and rave about that. Let's just drop the racial part and accept profiling for what it is and deal with it!!! We're all being profiled in one form or another; the credit bureaus have been doing it for years, the census does it, your local church probably profiled for demographics prior to building; it only makes sense!!! 9/11 definitely gives our country the right to profile, and if you want to call it racial, so be it!

Another thing that I've wanted to get off my chest...Obama, what's the problem with you and your administration not wanting to share information such as the White House's visitor's log? What's your issue with the press overall? Is it because they won't let up on uncovering the truth? That's their job and right. Why do you feel it's okay to step on their rights but yet you seem all concerned over concerns of profiling. Is it because you do have something to hide? Seriously, if you are who you are then why can't you come forward and show the world. Instead you continue to smile that big smile of yours and pretend it will all pass while you do your dirty deeds, because, you see, that's what I've come to believe lately. Showing the citizens of this country an actual hard copy of your proof of citizenship (birth certificate) would have shown respect to those who voted for you and built trust for all citizens. Yes, CITIZENS!!!! We're the ones with the rights, not the immigrants that come to our country to pick and choose what they want from the USA. But again, maybe that's why you're more supportive of their issues than the citizens of this fine country....just a thought.

Obama and his administration has stretched the trust and confidence of the American citizes. Personally, I feel its gone too far and I'm proud to support those that are taking a stand.

I see so many of my friends and family taking part in the Tea Party rallys knowing we will make a difference because we are citizens, educated citizens with rights and real concerns for our grand country, not these petty personal concerns. That's all they are, because if you were a true citizen, you'd have nothing to complain about. You'd understand our laws, our language and lifestyle. No one's asking you to give up on your language or religious beliefs, but we do ask that you not come to our country and force us to change our language; don't expect us to change the laws that have made this country so desirable to come to in the first place. Have you considered the fact that without these laws the drug lords and terrorists could and would be here in much greater numbers. Your children would suffer just as much as ours. Unite and be proud to be an American citizen --- legally.

O'bama tears???    By Grams on 5/2/2010 8:39 AM
Hubby and I are waiting for the pics and comments to hit the press on Obama crying at the funeral for the historical civil rights leader. Did you see Michelle giving him 'the look' as if to say 'give me a break' 'aren't the tears a bit much???' Seriously, take a look......

U.S. Government Watch Dogs    By American Citizens Alert on 5/2/2010 8:47 AM
Highly suggest that anyone interested in staying up to date with the governments actions and the affects on us as citizens should check out this site. What an eye-opener!!!

Jay Leno & Obama    By A Legal Citizen and Proud of It! on 5/3/2010 7:54 AM
Jay's guest (Obama) didn't get him many laughs; there's nothing to laugh about. He's a big joke (Obama), and that's not the kind of joke the citizens of this country find humorous. What was he thinking by bringing him on the show?

Last Night's 60 Minutes    By Another Citizen That's Fed UP... on 5/3/2010 8:07 AM
By all means let's make it easier for the illegals to swim across the canal...what the _ _ _ _! Yes, it's a tragedy that so many are dying in the process of fleeing their own country, but come on folks is it our responsibility to assist them to come here illegally? I don't think so! Maybe we should consider setting up booths up and down the canal like you see at amusement parks. Get your tickets here for citizenship to USA...insert thumb print for ticket and proceed at your own risk. The posted rules and regulations are for your own safety. All those failing to follow these rules will be escorted out of the park...(USA) LOL

Our Tax Dollars Abused...    By An American 'Voting' Citizen on 5/11/2010 6:03 AM
Here we go again...last night's news enlightened us with the amount of money we spend on illegals trying to come into our country. While processing them through the immigration steps we set them up in a better invironment than they left. They receive free room and board, medical, dental...and if they require root canals or surgery we provide it for them. One such illegal has been there for over 4 years....they ask to stay! Well, no wonder!! So, once again, those of us who worked through the years to earn the right to vote continue to pay the most with our hard earned money while those who have done absolutely nothing but abuse our laws, complain, and dare to criticize receive better than the average American!

I've come to this conclusion...no one, even those born in America, should have the right to vote unless they have worked and paid into the tax system. I'm quite fed up with all the waste and distorted values out there. I was brought up to be accountable and earn your way. Success was a symbol of such hard work. You took pride in your work, family, yourself and everything that surrounded you. The way it's going now, why bother encouraging a child to reach out and to go for the gold (sic)... Under Obama a doctor forfeits all the recognition he's rightfully earned with so many years in medical training. Sure there's some folks who have taken advantage of their professional training, but why punish all for a few!!!

Signing off and getting madder by the minute, but thank you for letting me vent.
