Did the U.S. recession make the American family stronger?

| There is not doubt that the U.S. recession has created more stress and problems for many of us, especially those of us who have families. Now that reality has set in, and many people are trying to get back up on their feet, or move on with their lives, I wonder if the problems have caused families to bond closer together. If families have not been torn apart, does that mean they are stronger? |
